Landlord Refresher Course

When: Friday, September 16, 2011 3:00-5:00p.m.
Where: 8120 Kinsman Road, Cleveland, OH 44104

Existing owners can attend this new training class to receive additional information about how the voucher program operates. Attendees will have a chance to get the most current program information while also addressing general questions and concerns. The class is not a venue to address specific account issues, but program staff will be made available for questions after the general presentation. October Brown Bag Lunch Workshop

Where: Euclid Public Library, 631 East 222^nd Street, Euclid OH 44123

The HCVP staff will provide information about payment standards, utility allowances, rent reasonableness, affordability, and how they all factor into determining contract rents.

This class is mandatory for all NEW landlords prior to entering into a contract with CMHA. It will provide information and resources to develop a better understanding of the program. Topics include advertising available units, screening applicants, understanding landlord/tenant processing information, security deposits, the inspection process, rent reasonableness, the responsibilities of landlords and tenants, and more.

Classes are conducted at 8120 Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Ohio, 44104. Free parking is available.

There is no need to register for sessions on other days. Attendance is limited to 45 persons. Late arrivals will not be accommodated.

All off-site sessions are from noon to 1:30 p.m. No reservations are required.
