HCVP Brown Bag Lunch Workshops
Inspections Training in July:
The HCVP is gearing up for the third installment of 2010 Brown Bag Lunch Workshop Series. The next event is scheduled for Friday, July 16, 2010 from 12pm-2pm, at the Cleveland Foodbank. Landlords will have a chance to learn directly from HCVP staff about how to prepare their property for its next inspection. The event will also feature information presented by the City of Cleveland Health Department and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. They will discuss community programs available to property owners and provide information about how new federal regulations are affecting homeowners. The Cleveland Foodbank is located at 15500 S Waterloo Road, Cleveland, OH 44110. Please e-mail daughert@cmha.net to register.

Landlord Briefing Training Class
This class is mandatory for all NEW landlords prior to entering into a contract with CMHA. It will provide information and resources to develop a better understanding of the program. Topics include advertising available units, screening applicants, understanding landlord/tenant processing information, security deposits, the inspection process, rent reasonableness, the responsibilities of landlords and tenants, and more.
Classes are conducted in the Learning Center, Entrance B, 3400 Hamilton Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, 44114. Free parking is available.

There is no need to register for sessions on other days. Doors will close 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.
The Landlord Briefing class provides introductory information about the HCVP program to new landlords. Specific questions regarding current contracts, tenants, and properties are not addressed in this forum.
