The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) provides programming in the following areas:
Security Deposit Assistance Program (SDAP) 
The SDAP is possible through a grant from Cuyahoga County. It is available to eligible participants of the HCVP, who choose a rental unit in an eligible community.
Family Qualifications:
- Must be a first time participant in the SDAP
- Must have at least one child under age 18
- Must choose to move in a qualified census tract in an Opportunity Neighborhood
Unit Qualifications:
- Unit must be located in a low poverty census tract within one of the listed Opportunity Neighborhoods
- Unit must pass CMHA Housing Quality Standards Inspection
- The HCVP must determine the monthly rental amount for the unit

Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) 
FSS is a grant funded program operated by the HCVP. The program’s goal is to assist low-income families in gaining economic independence. All families participating in the HCVP are eligible to participate.
Families are enrolled in the FSS program for a period of 5-years. During this time an FSS staff member will work with the participant to set specific goals, and provide referrals to outside services to help the family reach them.
Past participants, have been able to achieve steady employment, save money toward education, a home, or a car, and reach economic stability. The above provided brochure link has additional information about the program.
HCVP Homeownership Program
The HCVP offers a Homeownership Program to qualified participants interested in purchasing their own home. Click here for detailed information.

2-1-1 is a free community service you can use to get information about social, health and government resources. The service is available 24-hours a day, by dialing 2-1-1 from a landline, or 216 436.2000 from a cell phone. Users can also access their online, searchable directory by following the posted link.
