CMHA Administrative Headquarters
On June 17, 2011, CMHA held the grand opening of its newly constructed administrative headquarters. More than 600 people came out to celebrate this accomplishment, which represented a $22.5 million investment in the Kinsman area. The CMHA Administrative Headquarters brought together nearly 400 CMHA employees from different departments and offices to one centralized location. These employees were previously divided between four different buildings in disparate locations around the city.
The facility encompasses both an administrative building and service building, and has aided CMHA in providing comprehensive, more efficient, services and resources to the residents, clients, and other persons doing business with the Authority.
The headquarters was designed to meet Silver Certification requirements under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). LEED is a voluntary third-party rating system certification that was developed by the United States Green Building Coalition. Certification consists of a rating system where credits are earned for implementing sustainable/green criteria.
