SIGNIFICANT AMENDMENT TO THE LOW-INCOME PUBLIC HOUSING PROGRAM ADMISSIONS AND CONTINUED OCCUPANCY POLICY FY2023

In accordance with HUD regulations, the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) has proposed amendments to its Low-Income Public Housing (LIPH) Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) for FY2023. The LIPH ACOP sets forth CMHA’s policies for the operation of the Public Housing program in the context of federal laws and regulations.
This announcement initiates a 45-day review period that concludes with the Public Hearing. Under consideration are proposed changes to the FY2023 Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy that permit CMHA to establish a housing preference for site-based waiting list at Cedar, Outhwaite and Lakeview to include families and individuals who are involuntarily displaced.
The proposed changes are available for review at the CMHA Executive Office located at 8120 Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Ohio from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Thursday, May 4, 2023, and can also be viewed on the CMHA website at www.cmha.net.
Comments can be submitted prior to but are welcome at the Public Hearing to be conducted by the CMHA Board of Commissioners on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. in the CMHA Board Room located at 8120 Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Ohio. The public is invited.
