Green Team (CMHA Residents Only)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
CMHA Green Team is a seasonal opportunity for CMHA residents to work in organic gardens located on CMHA properties. The Green Team program is an educational program focused on environmental science and urban agriculture. Green Team employees have the opportunity to plant and grow fruits and vegetables, visit area museums and parks, and participate in cooking classes.
This is a unique employment opportunity that gives participants the ability to work and farm at the same time while enriching the lives of our community through sustainable urban farming.
During non-Green Team works hours, Green Team Residents perform general building and grounds maintenance tasks at assigned properties.
Requirements:
| Green Team assignments begin in May and conclude in October.
| Work Schedule: Mondays – Fridays; 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION:
- Genuine interest to learn about gardening, healthy eating, and other environmental issues.
EXPERIENCE:
SKILLS:
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, etc).
- In good standing with CMHA and your estate managers.
